Challenge One

Spring is the time for Rodeo's and Horse Shows.  Rodeo's and Horse Shows are a great sport to watch and to participate in. Everything from barrel racing, bull riding, bronc riding, cutting, and horse showing.  Ellowyne likes to do it all. Yes there are girls who do it all (even bull riding).  Ellowyne also likes a good looking cowboy.  So she is wearing her tight fitting jeans, her short top with her little shirt.  She has got her ropers (boots) and her favorite black hat on.  A Cowgirl ready to go.

Challenge Two

I am not a video game person so this was a little hard for me.  The one video game that came to mind is Pacman. That can really show my age. I used a simplicity patter number 4702.  I took one of the top patterns and drew a dress pattern from it.  I also tried my hand at painting.  I was trying to step out of my box.  I did make her jewelry.

Challenge Three

I researched this challenge for about 4 days. I knew I would pick Jason Wu as one of the designers. I also did research on Vivienne Westwood, whom I found quite interesting. I love Jason’s designs because they are so elegant. I found Miss Westwood’s (JMO) a little messy. LOL I have always wanted to try feathers, so I thought this challenge might be it. The messy feathers are the representation of Miss Westwood. The lower part of the dress is Jason.

Challenge Four

I have chosen to do a modern version of Cleopatra. I wanted to modernize Cleopatra. I have always been amazed at designers who can drape. I thought I would try my hand at draping. My girls like silk. I used a material that is called a Baby Silk. It is so soft. No wonder my girls like this material. LOL I did use a pattern Designs by Jude for the top only. I did make the jewelry.

Challenge Five

This challenge I wanted to make the Kimono a little modern. I also wanted to sew for Momoko. For the jacket I used our judges (Durelle's) pattern, which I down sized the pattern and re-did the sleeve. For the top of the dress, I had a momoko pattern, which I re-drew for the square looking front and back. The skirt part of the dress I down sized from a Designs by Jude. For the material I used a Brocade for the jacket, and for the dress I used a Dupont Silk fabric. For the belt I also used a Dupont Silk fabric.
