Challenge One - Contestant 16
I must confess that before this challenge I knew very little about Goth culture. So, while making a research for it I was pleasantly surprised how really various the Goths can be, and that there are do many trends within this culture in general.
For this outfit I chose the trend called Gothic Lolita, which is extremely popular in Japanese street fashion. I had a pair of bright red platform boots with silver cross decoration which, being in 1:1 scale, could be easily seen on a young lady strolling along Tokyo streets. My model is Red Riding Hood Yuri, a doll made by Japanese designers, and I think she's just perfect for becoming a Goth Loli.
The outfit consists of a red satin dress (a color matching the boots), a black tulle underskirt and black fishnet tights. The dress is decorated with black cotton lace, it's fully lined and closes with hooks and loops on the back. The accessories include a pair of fingerless gloves with tiny satin bows, an umbrella (decorated with lace and a silver skull with sparkling 'rhinestone eyes'), a coffin handbag (opening and lined with red satin), a necklace with silver chain scraps and a big velvet bow which is wired and worn as a hat.
